Workflow - Change Request Management System
Workflow is the very first project I did for Abans PLC 😊. It allows you to manage the full life cycle of change requests efficiently. A change request is basically a proposal to alter a product or system, often brought up by the client or another team member.
To put matters into perspective, the IT department was responsible for maintaining dozens of projects with each of them having their fair share of change requests coming in every day. Starting from a new change request, each of them goes through several different states before it finally gets completed. At the time, this was managed using a pen and paper. So the managers always used to have a ton of change requests piled up on their desks. Well, you can imagine how that went 😅.
There are a lot of obstacles to overcome when trying to deliver on a project. Having a paper-based system to keep track of things, simply didn't help. The Workflow system addresses this need to manage this process in an effective way that can allow for better internal communication, efficiency, and alignment with overall business goals 😎.
The Workflow system is packed with a ton of useful features like activity tracking, real-time notification, reports, metrics, etc. I was able to complete the whole project in less than a month, all thanks to the power of Laravel Nova.
